The next Israel tour in April is SOLD OUT! This means the June, 2016 11 Day Israel Tour, with a 4 day option to southern Israel and Jordan, is the next open Israel tour. The dates are June 21 – July 1, with the option to Jordan from July 1-4. I’m expecting a smaller group (15-20) for this tour, making it ideal and quite personal, almost like a private tour. Summer travel in Israel is great too. With longer days, we will see more sites and experiences. There will also be less Christian groups at the sites we will go to, making it less crowded and more personal at the sites we will visit.
This tour goes south first. Our first night is right on the Med Sea (swimming is beautiful!), with our second night on the shores of the Dead Sea (floating is unbelievably a unique experience!). Then we head north. The life of Christ will “come alive” as we visit the Sea of Galilee sites. You will even be able to swim in the Sea of Galilee!
Registration for this tour is open until 50 days prior to our departure. Registration and full payment is due by May 1. The “land only” price for this tour is only $2,866. You will need to arrange your own airfare to and from Tel Aviv. We can suggest flights for you to secure. The extension to southern Israel and Jordan is priced at $1,077. Presently, there is a “small group” supplement added for the extension.
Personally, the summer is one of my favorite times to travel. I hope you will join us. Call me (412-999-5697) or our travel office (Imagine Tours & Travel – 863-709-9208).
I love the Galilee area. Does the trip include any time there? Also I want to go to Jacobs well, is that included. What rating do the hotels have? I don’t want to share a room. At your price I’m sure the rooms are what I’m expecting. What airfare rates are you getting? I would need to fly out of Pittsburg, PA.
Hello Paulette. Shalom and thanks for inquiring about the June tour. To answer your questions, YES, we spend 3 nights in the Galilee. This means one full day in the northern Galilee / Golan. I even planned for us to ride up and down the ski lift at Mt. Hermon (I also give the option to hike down too… about an hour). Also, one full day in and around the Sea of Galilee. If you like the water, you can also swim in the Sea of Galilee. It’s wonderful to do a pre-breakfast swim by the lake. Secondly, we do not go to Jacob’s Well. It is an area of the West Bank where we elect not to go. Not much to see other than a modern chapel built over a not-so-ancient well. 🙂 Also, hotels are 4 star and very comfortable. The food at these hotels is great! You can have a single room. Just know there is a single supplement fee since pricing is based on double occupancy. As for airfare, this tour we are selling the tour as a “land only.” This means you would need to secure your own airfare. I, like you, am flying out of Pittsburgh on a Delta flight that leaves 11 a.m. on June 21 to JFK, then the international flight is a 4 p.m. flight from JFK to Tel Aviv. I know of two others from the PIT area who are on this flight. So you could also book your airfare to be on this same flight. That way we’d be together. Know that most everyone on this tour is securing their own airfare.
Where do you live, by the way? I am in the north hills of PIT, and would be happy to meet with you over breakfast or lunch if you are in the area! Feel free to call me anytime (412-999-5697) if you would like to chat or get together! Thanks and blessings, Dr. John DeLancey
