DAY 11 – MONDAY – OCTOBER 15
Today was our free day! Many of us walked into the Old City together. It was a day to sleep in a bit. 🙂 At 9 a.m., a number of us walked to Jaffa Gate where we purchased our tickets for the “rampart walk” (on the Old City Turkish walls) around most of the city. We descended from the wall at the St. Stephen’s Gate, and from here walked along the eastern wall. We made our way up to the Jewish Quarter for shopping, lunch, and “people-watching.” We then drove to Joppa for our farewell dinner. What a meal it was! From here we drove to the Ben Gurion Airport for our flight home. ** Our current status is that we are waiting for our on-time flight at 11:30 PM Israel time.
What a life-changing trip it was for all!
