There is no other experience that enriches, deepens, and broadens one’s love for God than a personal encounter with with God in the land of the Bible.  There is no other educational opportunity that brings to light the context of the Bible than a personal visit to Israel.  In fact, the most humbling part of what I do as a pastor and teacher in leading study tours to Israel is to witness first-hand God’s transformation of people of faith.  In other words, one cannot visit Israel without coming home a changed person!  Not only does one’s perspective of the Bible change (yes, the stories of the Bible really do come alive in indescribable ways!), but one’s relationship with the God of the Bible grows comes alive.  Simply, faith is deepened and inspired.

I’m excited to announce numerous tours to Israel and other lands of the Bible (Jordan, Egypt, Greece, Turkey, Rome) in 2015 and 2016.  While a few tours early this coming year are closed/sold out, there are still many tours from which to choose.  I even have two tours that re-instate Egypt back into the program (Sept, 2015, and April-May, 2016).  On all accounts, travel to Israel as well as all these other countries is safe.  Egypt is even seeing a return to tourism since the days of the civil unrest a few years ago.  I suspect there will be much interest in these trips that include the Great Pyramids, Sphinx, Sakkara, Memphis, Luxor, Thebes, Valley of the Kings & Queens, etc… A “stand-alone” Egypt tour/Nile Cruise is even planned for the April-May, 2016 tour (this will be followed by an Israel tour).  One can go to the Upcoming Tours page of my web site to see all the tours scheduled so far into 2016.

As I mentioned, it is extremely humbling and gratifying to observe the ways God reveals Himself on each and every tour.  Through the opening of God’s Word at each and every site, people gain a unique understand the Bible with a “3-D” perspective. Additionally through leading people in worship and cultivating quiet moments of reflection, God has an incredible way of touching hearts as well.

Below are just a handful of testimonies of how God transforms lives on each and every tour:

A special thanks to all who made this trip a real blessing to our family.  It certainly was life changing.  Of all the trips we have ever taken, this one was by far the best.” Bernie & Paula (September, 2014, UT)

Karen and I were especially blessed to have been able to participate in the September 2014 Biblical Holy Land Tour with you and the other members of our group…now considered “extended family”! The bonding was truly remarkable. Your ability to relate scripturally to each of the historical sites we visited; and, your extraordinary back ground in archeology combined to make our experience deeply meaningful and spiritually enriching.  Our reading of the Bible will be influenced by this experience the rest of our lives.  When we read the Word now it is made even more alive by our memory of having walked among so many of those Biblical settings.  Our appreciation for the day-to-day things that Jesus used to make his teachings relevant has been greatly enhanced.  We read His references to everyday things like water or shade with new meaning.  I would return tomorrow without any hesitation.  It was a great trip!”  Oral & Karen (September, 2014, VA)

Pastor John.  It was the best trip we’ve ever experienced. We can’t stop talking about it and are so thankful for such an experience. Of course, our bible comprehension is greatly enhanced by seeing the land of Israel.”  Kathy & Tom (April-May, 2014, WA)

As 2014 comes to an end, praise be to God for His land and the life-transforming experiences we encountered together!  May 2015 and 2016 bring the same rich encounters with God!
