Sitting on steps of Pool of Siloam

Sitting on steps of Pool of Siloam

I just returned home this past Sunday from this last Israel trip. It was another great trip, with a great group.  This trip was an extensive 14 day study tour.  Students from the Solid Rock School of Discipleship were part of the group.  They were all outstanding, with an eager desire to “connect the dots” with what we encounter at sites with Scripture.  The adults who joined us were wonderful as well, sharing themselves and their friendship with all.

All total, we saw about 60 sites.  This includes 19 Israel National Parks (most tours see maybe 6-8 national parks).  Extra walking and hiking experiences were enjoyed every day.  These excursions included hiking up to the far rim of the Zin canyon, Cave 1 & 11 at Qumran, and hiking the trail up Mt. Arbel in the Galilee.

Shlomo Ben Asher once again was our guide.  We’ve been together now for over 15 trips now.  He shares not only insights about ancient and modern Israel, but also his heart.  Most movingly, he shared about losing 12 family members in Poland during WWII and the Holocaust.

The complete tour summary can be found HERE.  The page includes group and individual pictures, day-to-day descriptions of what we encountered each day, and about 20-22 daily photos.  It’s a joy to do this or each and every tour, as updated pages like this not only provide a way for folks back home to follow along, but it also serves as a great way for people on the tour to process the tour once they return.

The next Israel tour is January, 2016.  There is still time to register for this tour in case God is drawing you to join us!
