THE PHOTO CONTEST

SHALOM! I want to thank everyone who submitted pictures for our first annual Top 10 Israel Photo Contest. I received about 115 photos from you! They have now been judged with the help of a “professional” photographer. It was so very hard to bring it down to just 10 photos, but these were the top 10. I also shared a few other “honorable mention” photos as well.

The top five will receive a gift of their choice: a Biblical Israel by Air drone video in any format of their choice (available after August 20), an engraved BIMT hydro flask, or a signed copy of Devotional Treasures from the Holy Land (or if you want to wait, Connecting the Dots, a second book to be published latter this fall).

EVERY photo was great and special in many ways!

THE TOP PHOTO

The top photo was submitted by Brian Roberson. The picture (above) is of the Jezreel Valley from the Precipice of Nazareth. He captured a magnificent cloud formations as well as the colorful fields. The Hill of Moreh and Mt. Tabor were also included. Congratulations Brian!

A FEW OTHER “HONORABLE MENTION”

First, we recognize a submission of a photo from Steve Kemp. The photo was a sunrise on the Sea of Galilee in honor of his wife who passed away from cancer last month. Steve and Judy joined us for one of our trips in 2016 for their 25th anniversary.

Other well-deserved honorable mention photos include the following:

  • Mel Coker – The southern end of the Sea of Galilee
  • Sammy Young – Sunrise on the Dead Sea
  • Aaron Wolfe – Jewish children we met during a service project at a school in Talpiot, Jerusalem
  • John Carlson – The hiking trail up to the top of Mt. Arbel

Thanks so very much once again!

A second photo contest will be shared next year!
