Mt. Nebo – Machaerus

Description

This is a short drone video resource of Mt. Nebo and the archaeological site of Machaerus (in Jordan). It is an expanded drone perspective taken from the master drone video project called Biblical Israel by Air compiled and narrated by Dr. John DeLancey, Director of Biblical Israel Ministries & Tours.

This video features footage of the view from Mt. Nebo where Moses died. The view of the northern part of the Dead Sea, the Jordan Valley, and the Jericho area is impressive.Today a church stands on top. The video also includes the palace-fortress of Machaerus. It was first built by the Hasmoneans and then later by King Herod the Great. It is located on the eastern side of the Dead Sea almost directly across from Ein Gedi. On top of this walled fortress was palace where John the Baptist was beheaded.
