Days 1& 2 – Saturday-Sunday, November 7-8: Departure Day, Arrival in Tel Aviv, Netanya
The day finally arrived… we are heading to Israel and Jordan! God brought a total of 41 of us together for this group. For many in the group, this is the 3rd or 4th attempt in getting here (due to postponements because of the war). We used several different flights in order to arrive at the Ben Gurion Airport. At the time of this posting, all but one made it (she arrives latter tonight).
Ben Gurion Airport
We were met by our Israeli agent who assisted us through the airport. Following gathering our luggage, the majority of the group (27 of us) drove with David (our driver) and Shlomo (our Israeli guide) to Netanya. Others in the group already arrived earlier.
Once we arrived at the hotel, we enjoyed an amazing buffet dinner together. This won’t be too hard to get used to (HA)! A number in the group also added an optional stroll down to the shoreline of the Mediterranean Sea after (some will enjoy the beach tomorrow morning).
We are all looking forward to our first full day tomorrow here in Israel!
NOTE: Photos are from another previous trip when the view of the coastline of Tel Aviv was optimal!
“We arrived in Israel today! It’s a surreal experience being here in the land of the Bible! We are all looking forward to our first full day tomorrow!”
